An 18th Century Delft Apothecary Jar. The jar with an outward sloped rim, above a waisted ring. The rounded body with a spout to one side, and a rounded handle with finger grip to the outer side. The body tapering into a waisted stem, spreading to a downward swept circular foot. The body with a scrolling reserve flanked by a pair of peacocks. The lower edge centred by a cherub, amongst floral tassels. The reserve titled for the contents 'A.SABIOSA'. In excellent condition throughout. Height 8 inches, 20cm. Width 8 inches, 20cm. Depth 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Date c 1740.Ref: 21707
