A 19th Century Imari Bowl with Gilt Metal Mounts. The rim mounted with flowing flowers and leaves, meeting the rising and scrolling flower and leaf handles, rising from the flower rimmed collar, and enclosing the Imari bowl, decorated to the interior with a broad band of flowers and leaves. The centre of the bowl showing an oriental garden. The exterior of the bowl with a rim decorated with reserves of butterflies, within leaves and flowers, against a scrolled ground. The lower exterior with scenes of trees in bloom amongst which perch exotic birds. The bowl raised on a tiered reeded and flowers adorned stem, spreading to the leaf and rocaille scrolled base.
