19TH C IMARI VASE

A 19th century Imari vase, the tulip-shaped body with a small raised collar above a shoulder decorated with boughs of flowers, above reserves, one pair of reserves depicting 3 children dancing in a garden, with tambourines, under the shade of a large, blossoming tree. The other pair of reserves depicting a bird of prey and a dragon emerging from clouds as they fly toward a central sun.

Height 8 3/4 inches; diameter 7 inches.
