A 19th Century Jug. The jug with a mask of Neptune forming the spout, fronting a tall reeded neck, decorated with a blue and gilt entwined scroll banding, from which hang hare bell swags, enclosing star bursts. The rounded body with cabbage leaf relief, decorated with swags of flowers, within blue and gilt scrolled borders. The jug sweeping into a foot rim decorated with entwined gilt ovals, against a blue ground. The jug mounted with a gilt leaf decorated scroll handle. Height 8 inches, 20cm. Width 7 inches, 18cm. Depth 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Date circa 1870.Ref: 23427
