A 19th Century Rogers Meat Plate.
The dished rim with decoration of trees in bloom, with wild flowers in the foreground. The centre of the plate decorated with a romantic scene of ruined temples and towers set on a hill, amongst which groups of travellers rest. A pair of travellers walk with a loaded ox along a path in the foreground. The rear of the plate marked for Rogers.
Date c 1840.
