An Early 19th Century Tin Glazed Jar & Cover. The brass cover with an acorn finial, over the domed body in concave and convex profiles, falling to the rounded rim. The jar with a raised collar, the shoulders with a banded edge, repeated to the base, over a rounded foot rim. The jar with a pair of overlapping leaf cup handles. The jar decorated with a reserve of entwined rising laurel leaves enclosing the title '2'. Date circa 1800. Height 15 1/2 inches, 39cm. Width 11 1/2 inches, 29cm. Depth 9 1/2 inches, 24cm.Ref: 23258b
