An 18th C Imari Shaving Bowl. The bowl with a broad sloping rim, surrounding the dished centre. The rim with a pair of hanging holes to one side and a crescent chin rebate to the other side. The rim decorated with panels of leaves, scrolling flowers, and grasses, between a background decorated with pairs of chrysanthemum. The centre of the bowl painted with an oriental vase, standing on a terrace. The vase filled with extravagant flowers. The rear of the bowl decorated with cherry branches, the bowl raised on a small foot rim. Date c 1780. Width 10.5 inches, Depth 10 inches.Measurements : 10"Diameter x 10.5"Width x 3"High
