An Early 18th Century Delft Vase. The substantial vase with an outswept rim, tapering in rounded panels to an orb, and thence a broad rounded body, sweeping into the chamfered and rounded panel foot. The orb with decoration of birds in a leaf filled garden. The body decorated with people holding flowers and scattering seed between exaggerated flowers, beside which birds perch on rocks. The foot decorated with lined darting. Date circa 1720. Height 13 1/4 inches, 34cm. Diameter 6 3/4 inches, 17cm.Ref:
