An Early 19th Century Glazed Lion. The beast lying on his haunches, looks forward and to his left, his extravagant mane flowing to his fore legs, drawn under him. His tail curls over his left rear leg. He lies on a rectangular plinth with a recessed edge. The rear with a large shard, but original with the glaze flowing over the shard. Date c 1830. Height 9 1/2 inches, width 11 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.
