An Early 19th Century Imari Vase. The raised collar decorated with panels of flowers and leaves, above the shoulders of the vase painted with panels of flowers, set against a blue ground amongst which flower head appear. The ovoid body painted with flowers and grasses growing out of the ground, as exotic birds fly between the flowers. The body tapering toward a banded foot rim. Date c 1830. Height 8 inches, diameter 7 inches.Ref: 20637
