An Early 19th Century Stoneware Tobacco Jar, the original brass cover, of spire shape, with an acorn finial top.  The jar with a high collar, decorated with horizontal ring bands.  The rounded oval body with detailed lion mask handles, and a front panel within an arched surround, with the scene of a man holding a bunch of tobacco leaves.

Date c 1820.

Height 16 inches, width 10 1/2 inches, depth 7 1/2 inches.
