A Very Large Pair of 19th Century Imari Vases, each with an out-swept rim and concave collar. The baluster bodies tapering to a small foot rim. The whole decorated with reserves of pagodas and gardens, with cranes flying amongst the trees. The reserves surrounded by scenes of dragons and dogs of foo, gambolling and twisting amongst flowers and foliage. Further decoration in the form of lattice and flower filled overlapping circles. The whole in typical Imari colours of Reds, Blues, Rust, Ocre, Green with gilt highlighting.
