A large 18th century Delft Posset Pot, Jug.

The raised collar painted with concentric scrolled decoration, above the sloping shoulders, which are decorated with another band of concentric scrolls enhanced with hanging leaves.

The body painted with a myriad variety of flowers and bulbs, amongst which birds perch and fly, as they try to catch insects flitting by.

The body mounted with a pair of dash decorated handles,  and a long spout following the profile of the body,  and thence sloping forward to the aperture 

The spout decorated with concentric scrolls as per the collar and shoulders.
