A large and very unusual early 18th C Delft Tankard. The baluster shaped body painted in the oriental style, with a rim band of scrolled decoration, above a body painted with people relaxing in a garden, the figures in pairs, amongst cherry trees and bushes with a river beyond. The body standing on a small rounded foot rim, the tankard mounted with a handle painted with a dot and leaf decoration.
