A Large Late 18th Century Delft Tobacco Jar. The jar with an outswept rim. The broad shoulders flowing into the tapering body. The body with an entwined and rising palm frond and berried reserve, enclosing the title 'TABAC DU HAVRE'. Complete with a rather extravagant cover. Date circa 1780. Height 18 inches, 46cm. Width 10 inches, 26cm. Depth 10 inches, 26cm.
