A Large 19th Century Imari Bowl with Gilt Metal Mounts. The rim with open 'Oriental fence' decorated with flowers, over the rounded oval body, tapering to a foot rim, enclosed with a lower 'Oriental fence' and raised up on flower branch feet. The body decorated with exotic birds perched on trees amongst exuberant leaves and flowers. these panels surrounded by a ground of looming flowers and scrolling leaves. The bowl with a pair of dragon mount handles. Date circa 1870. Height 14 1/4 inches, 36cm. Width 20 1/2 inches, 52cm. Depth 13 inches, 33cm.Ref: 22090
