Large 19th Century Sunderland Jug The jug with a broad spout and swept handle, emerging from the raised collar. The collar, handle and spout decorated with lustre banding, above a rounded body decorated with wiggle work lustre, surrounding a scene of the west view of Sunderland Bridge, a 'forget me not' poem, and a scene of a sailors farewell. The jug titled for the owner 'Hannah Freeborn'. The jug by Dixon Austin, Sunderland. The jug finished with a spreading circular foot rim. Date c 1825. Height 8 1/2 inches, 21cm. Width 10 1/4 inches, 26cm. Depth 7 3/4 inches, 19cm.
