A Large 19th Century Spode Vase. The vase with a slightly outswept rim, above a rounded body. Tapering inward and downward, in tow stages, to a ringed and spreading rounded foot, with a recessed inner base. The body mounted with handles in the form of lions head. Decorated with stars against a sponge ground. The body with reserves of romantic gothic ruins, set against a background of large flowers and leaves, with further reserves of rural scenes to the bands of the inner and outer rims, and likewise the foot.
