A Large Early 19th Century Imari Charger. The charger with a slightly concave broad rim, with scrolling reserves, filled with roaring lions in a flower filled landscape, against a blue and flower filled background. The centre of the charger painted with a scene of a planter, from which emerges an extravagant display of flowers. The rear with two circular foot rims, surrounded by flowing flowers. Date circa 1800. Height 2 1/4 inches, 5.5cm. Diameter 45cm.Ref:
