A Large 18th Century Octagonal Delft Vase.

The top with small raised rim, decorated in draped and dart banding.  The baluster profile body painted with scenes of a noble man, shaded from the sun by an attendant holding a parasol as they approach a table, and two attendants beside a table set with vases of flowers, tea pots and tureens.  The scene surrounded by flowers and woodland.  The lower level of the vase, within an outward tapering octagonal profile, painted with elongated leaves. Makers mark 'C' to base.
