A Pair of 19th Century Classical Vases. Each with a reeded rim, above a concave collar, meeting a pair of Pegasus horses. The campana shaped bodies decorated in relief with hippocamps against a gilt ground. The vases within rising leaf cups, meeting the fern laid foot, sweeping to a spreading leaf rim. The vases raised up on gilt metal mounts, decorated with leopard head feet. Date circa 1840. Height 12 1/2 inches, 33cm. Width 9 1/2 inches, 24cm. Depth 7 inches, 17cm.
