The Pair of Vases, each of Trumpet shape, the rims with gilt beading, over the bodies tapering to a gilt beaded collar, above the concave socles, broadening to the circular foot, likewise with a gilt beaded rim. The vases with a blue ground, against the octagonal reserves, surrounded by scrolling gilt leaves. The reserves painted with scenes of Windsor Castle, in the original rural setting, the other a scene of Conway Castle, beside the Menai Straights, before the urbanisation of Conway. The concave socles decorated as per the reserves with flowing leaves. Height 9 1/2 inches, 24cm. Diameter 6 1/2 inches, 16.5cm. Circa 1840
