REGENCY TOLE BASKET

A Regency tole Navette Basket. the basket with raised ends, sweeping to a lower centre. the sides tapering inward and downward to the base, raised up on four small ball feet. the outer sides decorated with roses and wild flowers flanked to the ends with rising leaves. The centre and inner edges repeating the decoration, with roses at either end and the centre with a variety of flowers, within a gilt leaf decorated border. Date circa 1820. Height 4 inches, 10cm. Width 15 inches, 38cm. Depth 7 1/4 inches, 18cm.
