A tall 19th century Imari vase. The vase with an outswept rim. The concave band decorated with flower heads amongst gilt ferns. The reeded body with broad rounded shoulders, gently tapering to a foot decorated with a band of rising arches. The body decorated with panels of flower filled vases, around which exotic birds fly. These reserves set within an intensely filled background of leaves, flowers and petal heads. Date circa 1870. Height 16 inches, 41cm. Width 6 inches, 15cm. Depth 6 inches, 15cm.Ref: 22154
