19TH C FIRE GUARD

A 19th Century Fire Guard. The fire guard with a 'D' shaped rounded brass top rail, above the wire work body, with vertical and horizontal wires, fronting columns, and gathered by a swagged upper band. The whole with a conforming wrought iron foot plate. Date circa 1840. Height 24 inches, 61cm. Width 31 inches, 79cm. Depth 14 inches, 36cm.
