A Set of Early 19th Century Brass and Burnished Steel Fire Tools. The set comprising a poker, shovel, and tongs. Each with a brass ball and leaf finial, above the tapered handles, decorated with horizontal and vertical panels filled with flower heads. The handles finished with a socle, joining the steel shanks, of spiralling rope twist design, running to the poker, pair of tongs and bell shaped shovel with raised sides, and spreading leaf decorated centre. Date circa 1820. Height 30 inches, 76cm. Width 6 inches, 15cm. Depth 2 inches, 5cm.
