An Early 19th Century Steel and Gilt Brass Fire Tool Stand. With a central gilt brass rising and scrolling leaf finial above the column in baluster, orb and ringed profile. The pair of arms, sweeping forward to small balusters, topped by likewise gilt brass rising and scrolling leaf finials. The column finished with a baluster and cup socle, set within the octagonal base, with raised rounded and chamfered edges, finished with a bowed profile lower edge. This could also happily be used as a stick stand. Date circa 1830. Height 28 1/2 inches, 72cm. Width 10 3/4 inches, 27cm. Depth 9 inches, 23cm.Ref: 23612
