GEORGE III DRAGON STEEL FIRE FENDER

A George III Burnished Steel Fender. The bow shaped body with a rounded and sweeping top edge, over a frieze decorated with a vase of flowers, against a scrolling flower and leaf background, amongst which pairs of counter facing dragons prowl. The lower edge finished with a rounded rim. Date circa 1750. Height 5 1/4 inches 13cm. Width 46 1/2 inches, 118cm. Dpeth 12 1/2 inches, 32cm.
