A Set of Early 19th Century Brass and Steel Fire Tools. The set comprising a shovel, poker, and a pair of tongs. Each with a beaded and reeded orb finial, over the hexagonal handles with oval chamfered corners, finished with a ring collar, before the long shanks, likewise hexagonal, with oval chamfered corners. The shanks running to a poker, pair of tongs and a raised sided shovel, with a lattice and flower head centre. Date circa 1800. Height 30 inches, 76cm. Width 6 inches, 15cm. Depth 2 inches, 5cm.Ref:
