A 19th Century Mahogany Writing, Side Table. The table top with crossbanding facings and rounded corners, above a frieze set with a pair of flush frieze drawers, each mounted with a knob handles, brass key hole insert and opening to good mahogany linings. The frieze finished to each corner with turned drop finials. The table raised on pylon ends, broadening to scrolled sweep feet, resting on rounded end bases, held by domed feet, holding recessed castors. The pylon ends joined by a turned and tapered stretcher, finished with rounded paterae. Date circa 1840. Height 29 1/2 inches, 75cm. Width 36 inches, 91cm. Depth 20 inches, 51cm.Ref:
