A 19th Century Rosewood Bookcase. The bookcase with the original marble top, above a frieze set with a long flush drawer, decorated with a flower head from which spread leaves. The jams of scrolling and concave shape, likewise decorated with a rising flower. The two shelves adjusting on ratchets, and faced in cross banded rosewood. The whole raised on a conforming plinth base. Date circa 1840. Height 37 inches, 94cm. Width 48 inches, 122cm. Depth 15 inches, 38cm.Ref:
