A 19th Century Satinwood Wine Cooler or Jardiniere.
The square body with panel buttress corners, the satinwood sides in quartered veneers centred by circular stained pear wood rondels, two opposing rondels mounted with brass ring handles. The sides banded in broad walnut and rosewood edges, finished with diamond motif stringing. The corners of the body broadening to the knee, above tapering legs, likewise edged with walnut and rosewood inlays. The legs standing on small rounded bun feet. Complete with lift out brass liner.
Height 20 inches, width 12 inches, depth 12 inches.
