A 19th Century mahogany-framed reading chair, the generous seat with a bolster-top back-rest, and over-rolled arms, standing on ring-turned legs, with brass collar castors. The arm fitted with a side tray to one side and a book rest to the other arm. The side tray and book rest swing and adjust to the required position on good brass arms and are interchangeable so each fits either arm. The upholstery and stuffing are sound - the top cover, though, is a matter of personal taste!
