An Early 19th Century Oak and Fruitwood Arm Chair.

The chair of the high backed Clisset form.  The curved top rail enclosing four turned and tapered spindles, with a lower curved rail.  The spindles and rails between continuous round tapering vertical back legs, rising to spire button tops.  The arms sweeping in a gentle curve to the rounded hand holds, above supports turned with vase shaping and tapering to out turned pad feet.  The seat with a waved frieze, above the vase turned front stretcher.

Date c 1830

Height 41 inches, width 24 inches, depth 18 inches.
