A Late 18th Century Mahogany Butlers Tray and Stand. The butlers tray with rounded sides, rising and falling on ratchet hinges, to form a rectangular or an oval tray. The side with shaped hand holds. The centre of the tray with four panels between broad rails. The folding stand with webbing and cross stretchers. Date circa 1780. Height 30 inches, 76cm to flat top of tray. Width 28 inches, 71cm sides raised. Depth 18 1/2 inches, 47cm sides raised.Ref: 23351
