A George III Mahogany Wine Cooler.

The oval body with a rounded top edge, above the straight sides tapering slightly inward and downward t the recessed foot rim. The body with two broad bands of brass work, finished to each end with a lion mask and ring handle.  The interior with a lift out liner.

Date c 1780.
