A William IV mahogany hall bench of tremendous proportions, the rectangular seat with canted corners, the overhanging edge above a plain frieze with subtle carved decoration, this decoration repeated to each end panel, the whole on octagonal and tapering legs with ring turned 'knees' and tapering feet, the bench with faceted bolsters or arm rests and in very good condition. Great colour!
A 'beast' of a piece, would be the focal point of a large hallway/entry foyer - it is both functional and decorative and you don't find many this size!
