A good 18th Century cutlery vase, cutlery urn, the lifting cover of the vase with a stepped and domed panel profile, topped with an acorn cup and ring socle finial. The lid rising on a central ratchet column to expose 5 circular tiers of cutlery storage. The main body with panelled sides to repeat the form of the lid, tapering to a ring socle and square plinth base. The whole with very good well-grained mahogany, each panel inlaid with chequered- feather stringing.
