A Mid-19th Century Country House letter box, the oak body centred by a slope-front brass-mounted posting box titled "Letters" and with a further brass-framed and bevelled glass panel for indicating collection times. The collection time panel accessed from the inside of the lid via a hinged door. The front of the post box with a bevilled glass panel above a tray drawer for telegrams. The post box locked with a Bramah lock, complete with original key. The two sides with pigeon holes for stationary and large letters. The whole on a chamfered edge plinth base.
