A William IV Mahogany Cellarette.

The octagonal hinged lid, with a mould rim surrounding the concave outer edge.  The body likewise of octagonal tapering form, each of the eight sides with tapering fielded panels, veneered in figured mahogany and edged with ebony mouldings.  The two outer sides mounted with original lion mask ring handles.  the body raised up on ebonized reeded blocks and carved lions paw feet, with recessed brass squat castors under.  The interior with divisions to take six magnums.
