A Late 18th Century/ Early 19th Century Leech Jar. The leech jar with an outswept rim, over the rounded body, raised on a stem, tapering outward and downward to a ring socle, and thence the flat circular foot. The underside with a polished pontil. The whole in a distinct lead ‘Irish’ coloured glass. Date circa 1790. Height 10 inches, 26cm. Diameter 8 inches, 20cm.Ref:
