A Pair of Early 19th Century Cut Glass, Honey, Sauce or Sugar Vases. Each with a cover with rounded spire finial, cut in eight panels, and spreading onto the bell shaped main body, cut with horizontal waved panels, topped by fine reeded ellipses, and finished to the bottoms with an overhanging rim and inner collar. The vase bowls likewise cut with fine reeded elliptical panels, above the horizontal waved decoration. The vases tapering to octagonal socles, panel cut and spreading thence to stepped diamond shape plinths, with radiating star cut undersides. The sides of the covers and vase bodies cut with appertures for spoons, ladles or nips. Date c 1820. Height 10 1/2 inches, width 4 3/4 inches, depth 3 3/4 inches.
