A Pair of Regency Papier Mache Decanter / Bottle Coasters.
Each slightly rounded rim with a stepped mould edge, surrounding a body decorated with gilt and fontenay leaves, surrounding a pair of reserves showing a scene of two chinamen fishing by a lake with houses and temples on the hill beyond.
Provenance: Ex Sir John and Lady Marriot, grandson of Otto and Adie Kahn of New York. Originally from the New York Home , Kahn House on 5th Avenue.
Date c 1820.
Height 1 1/2 inches, diameter 6 1/2 inches.
