A magnificent large Regency gilt wood convex mirror, the pediment carved with a hippocamp rising from the waves, and a rocky shore.  The hippocamp flanked by a pair of eagles perched on bull rushes.  The frame with a flat rim, decorated with entwined medallions, enclosing densely mounted corvetto balls, and an inner band of leaves pointing toward the plate.  The convex plate held within a reeded ebonized pear wood slip.  the base of the mirror decorated with a pair of carved and entwined dolphins, above rocks and a leaf bottom.
