A Large Regency Gilt Pier Glass Mirror. With a reeded faced pediment holding hanging corvetto balls, above a frieze decorated with rising leaves, and a lower edge of lambs tongues. The verre eglomise tablet decorated in latticed and flower form. The frieze flanked by scrolled brackets, decorated with rising leaves, capped by flower head paterae. The original, attractively crystallised plate flanked by reeded Corinthian columns supported by flower head paterae, as per the caps. The paterae joined by a rising lambs tongue moulding. Date c 1810. Height 54 1/2 inches, 18cm. Width 29 inches, 73cm. Depth 4 1/2 inches, 11cm.Ref: 21673
