A Regency Gilt Convex Mirror. The mirror with an eagle cresting, the eagle with wings outstretched as he alights on a rocky outcrop, the eagle clasping a cut glass swag, sweeping to the pair of candle branches, each with a cut glass drip pan, decorated with lustres. The frame of the mirror with half round profiles, quartered by acanthus leaf bands. The frame with a reeded ebonized slip, holding the original convex plate. The lower frame decorated with scrolling and spreading leaves. Height 30 inches, 77cm. Width 21 inches, 53cm. Depth 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Date circa 1820.
