18TH C BURNISHED STEEL DOOR KNOCKER

An 18th Century Burnished Steel Door Knocker. The knocker with a spreading flower and leaf back plate, fronted by a vase topped bracket, from which hinges a substantial scrolled knocker, tapering outward and downward to a ringed centre. Complete with the petal head and squar4e chamfered pommel. Date circa 1780. Height 8 1/2 inches, 22cm. Width 6 1/2 inches, 16cm. Depth 2 inches, 5cm.
