An 18th Century Carved Gilt Wood Eagle. The imperious bird looking forward, with his sharp crooked beak open, his wings almost completely folded, with his tallows gripping the rocks on which he stands. Date c 1740. Height 15 inches, width 10 1/2 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.Ref:
