A 19th Century Carved Walnut Figure of The Madonna and Child. The Madonna stands in long flowing robes and a shawl, holding a staff in her left hand, whilst she cradles the child in her right arm. He holds an orb, as he reaches up to her mouth. The figure on a square plinth base. Date circa 1730. Height 12 1/4 inches, 31cm. Width 4 inches, 10cm. Depth 2 1/2 inches, 6.5cm.
