A 19th Century Brass and Copper Door Stop, Door Porter. The door porter with a bracket top handle, centred by a tiered ball finial, above the square section copper shank, meeting the bell topped base. The plinth mounted with a Bacchus mask, amongst a pair of flaming torches. The plinth finished with a stepped ogee profile base. The interior with a cast iron loading, conforming to the shape of the plinth. Height 19 1/4 inches, 49cm. Width 5 inches, 13cm. Depth 3 inches, 7.5cm. Date c 1870.Ref: 21657
